See You Tonight at Revolution Brewing for Our Donor Appreciation Party

We’ve come a long way since Streetsblog Chicago went on hiatus in early January due to funding issues. We now have less than $7,000 left to raise until we win a challenge grant from the Chicago Community Trust that will allow us to resume original reporting. However, we’ve got exactly two weeks until our April 8 reboot deadline, so we can still use some help. If you haven’t already done so, please consider making a contribution to the Streetsblog Chicago Resurrection Fund.

As a show of appreciation to our readers and sponsors who have stepped up to the plate to support us, we’re hosting a Donor Appreciation Party tonight from 6 to 9 p.m. at Revolution Brewing’s Kedzie Avenue taproom, 3340 North Kedzie (NOT their Milwaukee Avenue brewpub). It’s an opportunity to mingle with movers and shakers in the local sustainable transportation scene while enjoying RevBrew’s tasty craft beer. Admission is free; cash bar.

All Streetsblog reader are encouraged to attend. If you’ve donated $100 or more, be sure to stop by the welcome table, where you’ll receive a drink ticket and a copy of my book “Bars Across America.” If you’ve made multiple donations that total $100, please email me at greenfieldjohn[at]hotmail.com to make sure you’re included on the VIP list. If I you owe you a book but you can’t attend, let me know and I’ll drop one in the mail for you.

We’re looking forward to seeing many of you this evening at the brewery, and we can’t wait to get back to work bringing you the latest sustainable transportation and safe streets news. As always, big thanks for your support.

- John
