    The bikeways that ATA is talking about in Evanston is just completing a project that was started this summer. It’s a start, but Evanston would need to build a lot more bike facilities before I would call it bike friendly.

    One of the first times I did ride on the Chicago Ave bike lanes a car made a right turn in front of me. There was a red arrow signal, and numerous signs saying “Turn On Green Arrow Only”. Any bike friendly plan needs to include stepped up enforcement against motorists.

    Also, the EPD is racist. Last month they arrested two kids who where biking through downtown. The incident came to light because one of the kids is related to a politician. The city does not collect statistics to tell us how often this happens.
