At last! The city has inked a contract for Damen Line Green stop construction with Paschen
Originally slated to open this year, the station probably won't be completed until at least late 2023. But, hey, better late than never.

Why has the Damen Green Line station project been delayed by two years?
While the city isn't saying exactly what the holdup was, hopefully city planners will learn from this experience in order to prevent other underserved communities from experiencing delayed transit access.

City Should Raise Priority of Using Damen Green Line Station to Prime Good Land Use
When I first saw the design for the new Green Line station at Damen Avenue on the Lake Street branch, I became worried that the station didn't have an entrance providing access to the westbound platform. Several of the other stations on the branch to city's West Side and Oak Park have entrances on both sides: Ashland, Morgan, and Conservatory-Central Park Drive, to name a few.

O’Hare Express Train: Bad, But New Damen Green Line Station: Good.
