2 months after I suggested CDOT simplify their bike map, I mapped 2023 projects myself. 1 week later CDOT released a simplified map.
Streetsblog created a version of the CDOT bikeway map that only shows bikeways that were constructed in 2023, with an easier-to-understand color scheme.

Logan Square bikeway plans are disappointing, but traffic circle remix is exciting
While it's a bummer that Logan Square won't be getting robust bikeways as part of the Diversey and Milwaukee projects, it's great that the long-awaited traffic circle remix and La Placita are finally coming to fruition.

2020 was a good year for Far South Side bikeway installation
17 of the 29 total miles of bikeways installed last year, or about 59 percent, were installed south of Marquette Drive.

CDOT Previews Chicago’s Next Round of New Bikeways
The quarterly meetings of the Mayor’s Bicycle Advisory Council are a good place to get up to speed on Chicago’s latest bike developments. Wednesday’s meeting was no exception, with updates on bike lane construction, off-street trails, Divvy bike-share, and more. The sessions take place during business hours, but if your schedule allows you to attend, you can get on the mailing list by contacting Carlin Thomas, a consultant with the Chicago Department of Transportation’s bike program, at carlin.thomas[at]activetrans.org.
