Pedestrian Fatalities

The motorist who struck and killed an as-yet-unidentified man in the Dunning neighborhood early Sunday morning has received two citations.

45-year-old Jessie Rosales was struck and killed in the North Lawndale neighborhood by a motorist who fled the scene last Friday, according to police.

A motorist is facing reckless homicide charges after she struck and killed a 51-year-old man last month in the South Side’s Avalon Park neighborhood while driving as much as 50 mph, and then fled the scene.

Reckless homicide and DUI charges have been filed against a driver who allegedly killed a woman and injured a man last weekend in the Vittum Park neighborhood near Midway Airport.

Julian Guerra, of the 7100 block of South Mozart in Marquette Park, died on Saturday, after being struck by a hit-and-run motorist two weeks prior.

The Chicago Police Department hasn’t yet apprehended the driver who fatally struck a 73-year-old woman in January and fled the scene.

An 80-year-old man died early last Thursday from injuries sustained almost two months ago, when he was struck by a motorist who fled the scene.

A 45-year-old woman was struck and killed Tuesday night while walking across Stony Island Avenue in the 8100 block of South Stony Island in the Avalon Park neighborhood.
