I've reported on most of the Monday evening dueling anti- and pro- Archer Avenue traffic safety project rallies over the past month or so. But I took a break from showing up on Monday, December 29, when the fourth of the competing demonstration sessions took place, in front of Ald. Julia Ramirez's 12th Ward office, 3868 S. Archer Ave.

Round 2 of the dueling Archer rallies: Brighton Park road upgrades draw praise from nearby residents, citing traffic safety improvements
During last week's dueling rallies against and for the Archer Avenue traffic safety project in in front of the 12th Ward office in Brighton Park, there were two or three times as many opponents as proponents. But at last Monday's installment of the weekly event, there were two or three times as many project supporters as detractors.

CBS’s one-sided and misleading report about Archer Avenue is a great example of how *not* to cover a traffic safety project
Update 12/6/25 12:15 AM: As discussed on the Facebook post for this article, car activists are planning a protest against the Archer Complete Streets project this Monday 12/8, 4:30 p.m. at Ald. Ramirez's office, 3836 S. Archer Avenue. The nearby group Gage Park Cyclists is inviting supporters of the street remix to show up to demonstrate support for the plan.

Proposed Archer, Kedzie upgrades would be a big step forward to improve traffic safety on the Southwest Side
The planned improvements include a 4-to-3 road diet and slip lane removals on Archer, protected bike lanes, pedestrian upgrades, and bus boarding islands.

In some alternate-universe Chicago, Cardenas' 12th Ward is crisscrossed with bike lanes, and his ally Brendan Reilly hasn't done multiple things to block downtown bike and pedestrian access.
