Join Us for Our Reader Meet-up This Wednesday at Holiday Club

Steven Vance is fresh off the plane from northern and central Europe and ready to share reports about the first-rate transportation infrastructure he experienced there. Join us for our monthly meet-up this Wednesday and you can ask him about all the cool stuff he saw. It's taking place just north of the Sheridan Red Line station, so it will be easy to get there by train with minimal exposure to the deep-freeze. Here’s the skinny:

January Streetsblog Chicago Reader Meet-up
Wednesday, January 11, 6-8 p.m.
Holiday Club
4004 North Sheridan, Chicago

Holiday Club is just north of the ‘L’ stop, and it’s also served by the #151 Sheridan and #80 Irving Park buses. There’s a Divvy station kitty-corner to the tavern at the southeast corner of Irving Park/Sheridan. Known for its sparkly gold sign and Rat Pack-inspired décor, the venue has an extensive selection of food and drink, as well as a vintage photo booth.

Streetsblog’s meet-ups are always a great opportunity to hang out and network with folks who are passionate about sustainable transportation and livable streets. Expect some good conversations about Obama's parting gift to Chicago transit in the form of $1.1 billion for the Red and Purple Modernization project, the Garfield Gateway station improvements, and that South Loop TOD project with a five-story parking podium. Hope to see you there!
