    Re: Taskforce, giving the governor more power could prove to be disastrous. If a downstate Republican governor wins, he/she could cripple the agency through crony appointments of people who care only about reducing funding to the bare minimum.

    Even worse if a north shore Republican governor wins and decides that in order to cut his taxes, we should just abolish transit altogether.
