Re: Police: Driver Did Drugs, Passed Out With Car Running While Waiting for Train

    I don’t get this:

A young woman and her companion were so high after snorting heroin they passed out while waiting for a train to pass Tuesday afternoon in west suburban Riverside, police said.
    ________

Her car was running and in gear when officers arrived.

    _________

so she passed out with her foot on the brake? or does park/nuetral count as ‘in gear’

  • Yes: “The caller told the 911 dispatcher that the car, a 2013 Kia utility
vehicle, was running and appeared to be in gear and its tail lights were
highlighted as though the driver had their foot on the brake, police
    said.”

    that’s ridiculous.
