    What is the point of having a long-term plan, “GoTo2040” when it can be amended so quickly for near-term projects? When “GoTo2040” was initially developed & passed, were the Circle Interchange and Illiana Tollway projects considered? If so, then presumably they were left out for sound reason.

    Re: Bloomingdale Trail construction

    I saw rail cars on the tracks this morning, above Milwaukee Ave. My guess is that they are ripping up the rails from behind and hauling them away in these open-air hauling cars. This is the last time we’ll see a train on the Bloomgindale. Sort of a sad closing of a long chapter (if you put aside the good intentions behind this for a moment).
