    RE: NBC link

Chicago Parking Meters LLC is a paper entity. It’s Morgan Stanley / Abu Dhabi Investment Authority / Allianz Financial Services that are parasites.

There is no such thing as Chicago Parking Meters LLC except on paper. The entire CPM entity is designed to take money from the people of Chicago while hiding accountability. It continues to be hugely successful. Even when major outlets like NBC and Salon criticize the parking meter deal, it is Chicago Parking Meters LLC that gets criticized. Abu Dhabi Investment Authority is a sovereign wealth fund. Allianz is a German financial services company. Morgan Stanley is an American bank. Are any of these groups sweating the business consequences of being called parasites? Of course not.

They have their Chicago Parking Meters fig leaf to shield them.

  • I think that people who understand that LAZ is just a company hired to actually maintain the physical infrastructure of parking meters understand that CPM is a “fig leaf to shield” the investors.

Problem? More people blame LAZ for their parking meter woes than anyone else. LAZ is just the most public, visible, and proximal face of the parking meter.
